High mast lamp pole structures up to 150 feet high are failing and it is extremely difficult to predict these corrosion and weld-crack catastrophic failures. The MastCheck product uses wireless video techniques that capture a complete 360° view of the entire structure. This data is transmitted on a wireless link for further problem analysis, quantitative results, and structure certification. Site data including pole identification, GIS location information, and foundation review is incorporated for engineering analysis and to aid in rapid deployment of repair crews when needed. Analysis is perfomed off-line so that the inspection task is quick and virtually automatic. The goal is to maximize the production of inspection reports, resulting in lowered costs and improved overall inspection production rates.
