RFID4U will create a RFID symposium along with half day bootcamp and smart packaging workshop in 2006 to inform the paper and converting industries on latest in cutting edge RFID technology. The program is designed on behalf of TAPPI.

RFID4U, the world's leader in radio frequency identification learning solutions, will create a RFID symposium along with half day bootcamp and smart packaging workshop in 2006 to inform the paper and converting industries on latest in cutting edge RFID technology. Designed on behalf of TAPPI, the world's largest professional organization serving the pulp, paper, packaging, and converting industries, the two-day Symposium will have two tracks -- one for paper industry personnel and one for converting industry personnel with the half-day pre-conference boot camp will be held specifically for beginners to RFID.

RFID4U will also create a 2006 Smart Packaging Workshop in conjunction with the TAPPI Corrugated Packaging Conference and the TAPPI PLACE (Polymers, Laminations, Adhesives, Coatings and Extrusions) Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio in September. Smart Packaging is a new technology involving sensors that can indicate, among other things, how long a product has been on the shelf.

"The paper and converting industries rely upon TAPPI for standards and education that will keep them competitive in today's rapidly changing marketplace," Sanjiv Dua, C.E.O. of RFID4U, said today. "It's exciting for us to design this symposium and workshop to assist these industries."

RFID4U maintains a full curriculum of radio frequency identification (RFID) trainings and certification that include vendor-neutral classroom courses, online e-courses, customized on-site trainings, and vendor-authorized courses.

"RFID is an important technology for the paper and converting industries," Eric Fletty, TAPPI Vice President, Suppliers said today. "RFID4U is the company singularly qualified to create these events for us, and we're pleased to partner with them to bring this technology to our members, as well as anyone else in the industry interested in learning RFID."

All three events will be open to both members and non-members of TAPPI.
