Owner of the "Ascent" Development programme completes NLP practitioner accreditation to assist his clients find their inner strength to overcome core doubts, fears and limiting beliefs.
Clay Lowe is owner and director of Ascent. Ascent is a unique personal development programme with an international following. The programme uses elements of mythology, NLP, Taowism and Jungian psychology facilitating a personal journey of inner and outer exploration.
The purpose of the journey is to find and develop ones inner strengths. The development programme is effective as a means of overcoming core fears, doubts and limiting beliefs. Ascent delegates tend to be on their second or third careers and are looking for something that will uplift and motivate them on their individual life adventure in business and personal success.
Clay was specifically drawn to NLP because of its way of communicating with the unconscious mind and its approach to the workings of the mind. He had previously found most coaching tended to be technique based and therefore one -- dimensional, producing limited results.
He selected PPI Business NLP through personal recommendation. Further, after meeting Michael Beale, PPI's founder and director, he was impressed by Michael's philosophy for change and wished to incorporate this approach for his delegates. He also found that PPI's modular seminars worked well with his own work schedule.
After completing his practitioner accreditation Clay had developed an improved holistic approach to coaching. This included more focused better questioning skills, a greater understanding of the impact of state and individuals beliefs . He also gained the ability to develop stories using hypnotic language to reinforce any change intervention.
An example of this holistic approach occurred when Clay was coaching an executive of a major financial institution. The individual expressed deep concern when asked to share the management of his team with a younger more aggressive manager.
Clay completed a 'logical levels' exercise with the executive showing the need to explore his belief system. Clay then asked the executive to explore and rehearse the various approaches that he could take using a timeline technique. The executive found means where he could focus on his work without clashing with his new partner.
This successful outcome gave the executive confidence in handling this and future change.
NLP was introduced as a tool for personal development 30 years ago. It is continually assessing and developing frameworks for understanding attitudes, it models successful performers and provides techniques for improving thought processes and communications skills. Business NLP draws on these studies.
PPI's website http://www.ppimk.com has had over 380,000 hits over the last four years demonstrating the interest in Business NLP.
