Poker Chip e-tailer commissions artist to illustrate custom-designed poker chips...with stunning results.

Cashing in on the current heat wave of poker popularity, today launches a unique new line of poker chips. This limited edition line features the original illustrations of artist Barrett Hinkle.

The innovative poker chip set reflects the new face of today’s poker player. No longer limited to smoky back rooms, poker is now a trendy, popular, all-inclusive game. With this wider range of consumers comes a higher demand for something new, something different.

“We wanted to offer one-of-a-kind items to our loyal poker shoppers, something they could only find on our site,” explains Brad Fallon, owner of “There are only so many times you can print ‘Vegas’ on a poker chip before it’s just the same old, same old. So I started thinking about what I personally, as a poker player, would like to have at my next game. “

“Then it dawned on me – I’d love a custom set of poker chips that look like mini-paintings. How great would it be to have chips that none of my poker buddies had ever seen, let alone own!”

So Fallon, long a fan of Hinkle’s work, called the artist to brainstorm this new poker chip concept. The illustrator immediately went to work and many meticulous revisions later, the Royalty Line was born. These 11.5 gram weighted composite chips feature 5 different designs, one per denomination. Featuring images of classic royalty, from regal castles to jovial jesters, each chip design is painstakingly illustrated and colored.

In fact, it’s no surprise Fallon calls this his “Master Pieces” collection, with the Royalty line being the first in a series. (Additional new illustrations are already in the works.) Though the chips are meant for playing – and winning – the quality of illustration will have many a player closely inspecting and admiring these mini-masterpieces.

Each 500-chip set comes with the certificate of authenticity, signed by the artist, as well as two decks of cards, dice and a padded aluminum carrying case. Shoppers should note that this is a limited edition and when the First Edition Royalty Line is gone - it’s gone!
