The Business Intelligence Network™ announced the completion of a research study, Right-Time Business Intelligence: Optimizing the Business Decision Cycle , conducted by Judith R. Davis. Five leading companies—Pfizer, Shopzilla, Continental Airlines, Bostik and Galosi—participated in the study that explored the development of business intelligence platforms to support timely, effective business decisions.
Right-time business intelligence optimizes the latency between the occurrence of a business event and appropriate action being taken. The goal is to "right-size" the overall decision-making cycle. Interviews were conducted to determine how companies are developing right-time business intelligence and how vendors are assisting them in optimizing their right-time business intelligence capabilities.
