Cleveland, OH (PRWEB) February 27, 2006
Richard Dolan, author of the internationally acclaimed book UFOs and the National Security State, will present a free lecture in the Oberlin College Science Center’s West Lecture Hall on Saturday, April 8, at 4:00 p.m. Mr. Dolan’s lecture, entitled “UFOs, National Security, and You: What’s Going On and Why It Matters,” will explore the secrecy surrounding the UFO phenomenon and its implications on American political society.
Is there a UFO phenomenon? If so, is it important? If it’s important, then why? Richard Dolan will discuss these questions and more at his Oberlin College lecture. Working from fully documented sources, Dolan will describe some of the best UFO evidence. In the process he will show that the phenomenon involves significantly advanced technology, and that the U.S. military and intelligence communities maintain an extreme level of interest in it.
Dolan will also discuss how UFO secrecy has affected American political society, the effects of media ridicule, what the technology might portend, and what the phenomenon might mean for all of us. His presentation will include fascinating documents, photographs, and video footage sure to be of interest to newcomers and experienced researchers alike.
Dolan has been invited to speak on the topic of UFOs and cover-ups throughout the United States, and has appeared on many television UFO documentaries for The History Channel and elsewhere. Dr. Edgar Mitchell, Apollo 14 astronaut, has called Dolan's book "monumental."
Immediately following the lecture, Mr. Dolan will hold a book signing in the Oberlin College Science Center lobby. Copies of his book will be available for purchase.
