HumanConcepts now offers OrgPlus Enterprise as an Online Service

Building on the company’s proven experience in delivering superior organizational charting technology, HumanConcepts today announced OrgPlus Online, the industry’s first workforce modeling and intelligence solution offered as an online service. Leveraging the OrgPlus Enterprise platform, OrgPlus Online eliminates the burden associated with installing, maintaining and operating software organization-wide, while providing the same high-quality services currently leveraged by more than half a million HumanConcepts customers worldwide.

According to a 2005 IDC study, the analyst firm forecasted that worldwide spending on software as a service (SaaS) will reach $10.7 billion by 2009. Responding to customer demand, HumanConcepts is now delivering OrgPlus Online, offering customers the same functionality available in its leading OrgPlus Enterprise product without the cost of installing, upgrading and maintaining a server in-house.

OrgPlus Online provides HR professionals, IT managers and executives with quick and secure access to graphical views of organizational structures and employee information for real-time workforce modeling and intelligence. The on-demand solution is designed for organizations of all sizes that require the advanced organizational charting, Web access and security features of OrgPlus Enterprise without relying on their IT staff for maintaining additional enterprise software in-house.

With OrgPlus Online, users can retain ownership of their system and begin managing and communicating organizational charts online in a rapid time frame. Much like OrgPlus Enterprise, OrgPlus Online enables customers to pull critical employee data from existing HR systems such as SAP, Oracle and PeopleSoft for a complete view of the workforce including skills and competencies, performance information, learning and development needs and career planning.

“As software as a service continues to become the industry standard, we recognized the need to provide our customers with the option to deploy an on-demand solution that enables them to reduce costs and maintenance associated with a server-based workforce modeling solution,” said Martin Sacks, CEO of HumanConcepts. “With OrgPlus Online, a customer can have a complete, accurate org charts online within a few hours, at nominal cost. This is an easy decision for any company struggling to get their org charts updated and communicated. As the only organizational charting and workforce modeling vendor to offer an on-demand solution, HumanConcepts continues to lead the market in developing and delivering innovative products that enable our customers to execute on their strategic human capital management initiatives.”

The announcement of OrgPlus Online comes in the wake of HumanConcepts’ recent enhancement of OrgPlus Enterprise by adding the ability to perform workforce modeling and “what if” analysis. By embedding browser-based modeling functionality into its enterprise and online offerings, HumanConcepts continues to provide customers with the industry’s most comprehensive workforce modeling and intelligence solutions on the market today.
