New York, NY (PRWEB) May 30, 2006
Factiva®, a Dow Jones and Reuters Company, today announced that the company has won an International Stevie Award for Most Innovative Company in the 2006 International Business Awards (IBAs). This marks the second time that Factiva was honored with the International Stevie Award for Most Innovative Company as Factiva was also recognized in the 2004 International Business Awards.
Factiva’s win was based on the company’s accomplishments over the last year, which included a range of new product launches such as Factiva Search 2.0, Factiva’s next generation of search that enable users to quickly find the information they need to support critical business decisions ; Factiva Companies & Executives™ and Factiva SalesWorks™, tools that include rich collections of business-critical information about companies, industries and executives; and Factiva Insight™: Reputation Intelligence, a powerful tool that empowers executives to monitor known issues and discover emerging opportunities and threats from across the mainstream media, radio and television transcripts and consumer-generated content. The win was also based on Factiva’s acquisitions, its first patent, new alliances and more than 1,200 content additions.
“Our customers have come to expect novel approaches from Factiva and we have not disappointed,” said Claude Green, interim CEO, Factiva. “We’re able to produce such successes because our employees have embedded innovation into everything they do. This attitude exists everywhere in the company, as much in groups like legal and operations as in the product team, which most people associate closely with innovation. I congratulate all of them for earning Factiva this pinnacle award.”
Factiva is one of four winners in the Most Innovative Company category and is one of 82 recipients of the International Stevie Award trophies across all categories. Stevie Award winners were selected from more than 700 nominations received from companies and individuals in more than 30 countries. Nicknamed the Stevie for the Greek word for “crowned,” the award will be presented to Factiva and other winners at a gala dinner on Monday, June 26, in the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. The ceremonies will be videocast live worldwide by HB Group and will be broadcast live on radio in the United States by the Business TalkRadio Network.
“The growth in entries this year illustrates the increasing importance of The International Business Awards worldwide,” said Michael Gallagher, president of The Stevie Awards, presenters of the IBAs. “We congratulate all of the Finalists and International Stevie Awards winners, and we look forward to honoring them for their achievements at our gala awards dinner in New York on June 26.”
Members of the Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their staffs selected International Stevie winners from among the Finalists, which were determined by volunteer judges around the world during two months of preliminary judging.
