A-List Models and High Society Entertainment proudly presents the 3rd Annual Houston Fashion Extravaganza. Saturday, July 1st, 2006 will be filled with an event that will mesmerize the mind and dominate the high-fashion runway while making charitable contributions to the Robert Pack Foundation.
The Robert Pack “Jumping for the Future” Foundation was founded in 1997, by NBA veteran point guard Robert Pack. Pack, a New Orleans native, heads this non-profit organization, by helping under privileged children excel in academics and sports.
Robert genuinely adopts eighty students per year, and supports them academically and athletically with books, school supplies, tutor-assistance, clothing, and sports camps until they graduate high school. This year’s contributions will be donated to those children displaced by Hurricane Katrina.
The summer theme is the “The Pure Essence of Music” which will culminate “Black Music Month” by embarking sounds of musical legends from blues, jazz, rock n roll, to contemporary R & B. The fashion extravaganza will take place at the Doubletree Downtown Allen Center; conveniently located in downtown Houston, 400 Dallas Street. The fashion show begins promptly at 2 p.m.-4pm.
o Designs by Sonson, Designed by Rashima Sonson a New Orleans native relocated to Philadelphia due to the devastation of Hurricane Katrina has combined her very own French Creole and Caribbean culture to create sassy yet sophisticated pieces.
o Jane Blu’ Couture, Designed by Chanise Gibbs who hails from Atlanta and will be showing her collection and who has recently been showcased in a private show sponsored by Essence, as “a designer to watch”.
o Noir Couture, headed by fellow Houstonian Willie Dean, designs women attire that accentuates the silhouette of a women’s body with intricate patterns, subtle colors, and classic styles.
o PinkCaddi, a golf apparel line under the direction of Cathy Le appeals to the young female professional that embraces the country club lifestyle whether they are serious or casual golfers. Her garments use a combination of silhouettes unexpected trims, flirty style lines, and premium performance fabrics designed to be worn on or off the golf course as seen on celebrity, and golf enthusiast Catherine Bell, of CBS hit series JAG while competing at the BMW ProAm Tournament at The Cliffs.
o Wolf’s Department Store, a male clothier has been supplying some of Houston’s most fashionable men for over fifty years with apparel and outerwear accessories.
o Charlie’s Sport wear and Apparel, owned by Charlie Chambers of Houston exceeds expectations when looking for relaxed denim, jerseys, t-shirts and trendy sport jackets.
o Kuhlman’s, another must-have for the GQ man, will showcase masterfully crafted European designs using fabrics hand-picked from around the world.
