VeggieTales joins Messengers of Faith Bible Character Dolls as one2believe continues to spread the Word to children.

one2believe, designers of Messengers of Faith Talking Bible Character dolls has secured the rights to manufacture plush toys based on one of the most popular kids' series in America, VeggieTales. Started in 1993 and with nearly 50 million videos sold, VeggieTales is and continues to be an innovator in values-based family entertainment. one2believe whose goal is to be known as the “Christian Mattel” is excited to be adding VeggieTales, a brand that has helped teach kids values like honesty, kindness, and forgiveness, to its current line of faith based toys. one2believe’s founder David Socha who has been in the plush toy business for over 15 years is thrilled about the VeggieTales license and what it means to his company saying “Veggie Tales is 'the' license in this industry, and we are very fortunate to have it.”

With VeggieTales, five new Messengers of Faith dolls and two other new lines coming out later this year one2believe is poised to establish itself as the trusted place for parents, grandparents and anyone who cares about the welfare of children to go when looking for values-based toys.

Originally one2believe planned to market their products directly to consumers through the company’s website, but discussions with some of the largest retailers in America along with securing deals with Christian media properties like VeggieTales has caused a slight change in the company’s plan. one2believe now believes that having a strong retail presence is the best way to introduce products of faith to the largest number of people and it will also help one2believe in its mission to teach 10 million children Bible stories by 2007. In recent meetings with retailers, Socha has educated them about the Christian toy market, how underserved the Christian community is and why a large percentage of the toys on their shelves do children more harm than good. “There are too many toys influencing children in the wrong way---what we are trying to do with the toys we design at one2believe is guard the hearts of our most precious asset—children,” says Socha.
