Rachel's To-Die-For Treats and Pies are simply the best. Rachel makes everything homeade from scratch using her time, effort and energy. She makes gourmet, high quality, delectable pies, cookies, brownies, bars and a few candies.

Rachel had her kitchen inspected August 31st, 2005 and got her license from the state. She then started baking for a local coffee shop in her town. She baked for the coffee shop for 7 months along with selling at fall and winter bazaars around town.

In April 2006, Rachel decided she wanted to venture out into other places with her baking, so she quit baking for the coffee shop.

Then Rachel started up her own website. She designed it and added pictures and she baked. She got 2 orders right away from people she knew and then nothing. She did not have much money and could not afford to keep this up, so she closed the website she worked hard to create.

In May 2006, her city started an outdoor market on Saturdays, so she took advantage of that and applied and was accepted. She had tried a different market but they were not easy to get into and were strict and unfriendly.

So, the Eagle Point Saturday Market was it. The 1st two markets went pretty well for her and then it kindof went a little slow.

However, in June 2006 Rachel started selling her pies to a local small store/restaurant. She is still selling to this place, the Lake Creek General Store in Lake Creek, Oregon, near her home in Eagle Point. The store is regaining it's reputation and trying to rebuild it's customer base. Sometimes the pies sell and sometimes they don't.

Also, on a local Christian radio station, KDOV 91.7, a DJ Rachel knows from church, has given away a couple of pies on giveaway day, fridays. This helps with a little free advertising for Rachel's business.

Rachel was supposed to start an actual bakery, but that did not work out. Now, out of her home, and trying to spread her name and her wonderful treats, she is trying to do what she can to get the word of mouth thing going.

Rachel has recently quit her part time job and hopes to sell more and more at the market, store, and at bazaars in the fall/winter. She would love your support and business and is sure you will not be disappointed once you try her delicious baked goods.
