After installing a NitroSell WebStore less than a year ago, Headingley Retail’s online sales have increased by 18% and now account for almost a quarter of its total sales, a dramatic improvement compared to the 7–10 percent of total sales the year before. Headingley Retail, the official Leeds Rugby shop, had used two different Web store solutions before switching to NitroSell last January. The bricks-and-mortar store at the Carnegie Stadium in Headingley found its previous Web stores difficult for online shoppers to use, clumsy for staff to update, and inaccurate, because the online shop didn’t immediately reflect inventory actually available in the store.

Headingley Retail switched to NitroSell when it purchased a Microsoft Retail Management System (RMS) from Syncronicity Ltd., one of Britain’s leading Microsoft RMS resellers. Headingley was looking for a Microsoft-compatible electronic-point-of-sale (EPoS) system and Web store because it was already using Great Plains and a Microsoft-compatible CRM system. Easy data integration was a key factor in product selection.
Headingley Retail also uses the Web applications built into the NitroSell system to manage pre-orders, run promotions, add sizing charts, and easily update the site design. “We haven’t come across anything we haven’t been able to do with our NitroSell store. It’s met every expectation and has been a very sound investment,” said Dean.
