HySKOOL.com is a unique fundraising website. Focusing on high schools, and managed by the parents of a New Jersey high school student, HySKOOL.com offers thousands of schools the opportunity to raise money simply by recommending Amazon.com shopping.
"It all started at our daughter's high school," explained Les Fox, owner of HySKOOL Promotions. "While assisting the music program, we discovered that this fundraising concept could be applied to every high school in the United States."
HySKOOL.com has compiled a list of more than 25,000 schools and other non-profit organizations they would like to help over the next 5 to 10 years.
"It's a no brainer," notes Sue Fox, who works with her husband, Les, in her spare time. "The entire program is free to schools. We do everything. We create the web links and promotional materials. We tell the schools how to generate public interest. All they do is cash the checks. There's no risk for the schools."
Les and Sue Fox, who are New York Times bestselling authors and private art dealers, have determined that if a school actively promotes its shopping website with flyers, a "Holiday Gift Night" and at its annual Back To School event, they can guarantee a minimum commission to 1,000 more schools of at least $400 to $2,000 a year.
"We guarantee each new school that amount of money or more No cash outlay for the school. No gimmicks," promised Les. "The first year the average school will generate at least $400 from online sales. Commissions will grow by at least $400 per year for the first 5 years. Anything above that amount is our fee, which we use to cover overhead and make the website grow. We give the schools 80% of our revenue, and we also use some of the money for other types of educational, community spirited and people-in-need fundraisers. We divide the total commissions by the total number of participating schools. We hope that in 5 years we will be able to raise $50 million for 5,000 high schools."
The HySKOOL.com fundraising program allows students, teachers, parents and friends to choose from 10,000,000 products on Amazon.com, all at discount prices, often with free shipping. The list of products includes books, videos, music and cameras, and is far more extensive. "You can buy the world on Amazon. Toys, bicycles, jewelry, clothing, even vacations. This program offers high schools an amazing opportunity to harness the buying power of its student body and their families for the benefit of the school."
The Foxes have worked closely with local merchants as well as national chains like Dunkin' Donuts and Bank Of America, two large corporations who are active supporters of their communities and schools. The HySKOOL.com fundraising program requires the official authorization of high school principals, school boards, the PTO, PTA or other Parent organizations.
