Boston, MA (PRWEB) April 3, 2007
Portrait Challenge, Inc. today announced that they have launched their new software as a service aimed at organizations who want to use the Web to facilitate charitable giving. Fund-Racer™ enables nonprofits, charities and local groups to create a highly effective online fundraising campaign that maximizes results by providing a personalized experience to donors. A self-service offering allows small organizations to implement a Fund-Racer campaign with no upfront costs and little resources.
Today's fundraising professionals face many challenges. Traditional fundraising programs are costly and resource intensive. Online giving, supported by Web sites and online donation portals, is emerging as the vehicle of choice for donation collection. But online giving vehicles don't engage donors, give them recognition or provide a personalized experience. Non-profits struggle to expand their giving community. Thousands of small local charity and grassroots groups don't have the resources or know-how to take advantage of the Web as a vehicle for creating and executing a successful fundraising campaign. Portrait Challenge has created a fun, easy and cost effective way for any organization that conducts fundraising to maximize the money that they collect by eliminating most of the costs associated with traditional fundraising programs.
What is Fund-Racer?
Fund-Racer™ is scalable and secure software as a service that allows any charity or affiliate group to solicit donations online. With no upfront fees, Fund-Racer encourages and collects donations from your support community by offering them exclusive inclusion in your own customized digital mosaic. And because Fund-Racer is Web-based, the campaign removes the cost of traditional fundraising events (vendors, venue, food and beverage, giveaways etc.) and factors outside of the organization's control (such as weather) that can erode the success of the event. For a pre-determined donation, invited participants upload a photo into a custom digital mosaic that when rendered, represents the goals of the campaign. Portrait Challenge manages the digital photo upload and online donation collection. The fundraising organization is provided a custom HTML email to promote the program, a link to the site from their home page and a large framed print of the mosaic when it is completed. Participants are encouraged to invite friends and family to join the campaign, extending the reach of the fundraising campaign through the power of their personal network. Once the service is initiated, no resources are required from the customer.
"With the release of this new service, we have created a dynamic resource that allows fundraisers, regardless of their size or resources, to quickly implement a unique and effective way to solicit funds from their donor community," said Ken Griffin, chief executive officer of Portrait Challenge, Inc. "Our company was created to provide organizations with new ways to leverage the Web as a means of reaching their fundraising goals. In addition to saving time and increasing their productivity, even small organizations will be positioned to succeed as they strive to find new ways to engage their constituents, especially younger donors who need to be introduced to the concept of philanthropy."
