Organic, eco-friendly pizza franchise powers stores and corporate offices with green energy.

Pizza Fusion (http://www.pizzafusion.com), the leader in the organic restaurant industry and a better quality of life, recently purchased 9,783 kWh worth of renewable energy certificates to offset 100% of the company's electricity consumption in their corporate office and stores. The renewable energy certificates were purchased from San Francisco-based 3 Phases Energy (http://www.3phases.com), a renewable energy supplier, and is derived from a number of clean energy sources around the U.S., including wind, biomass, geothermal, solar, and methane based power resources.

"We're extremely passionate about minimizing our eco-footprint with environmentally friendly efforts in all our operations," Vaughan Lazar, co-founder of Pizza Fusion, explains. "Our environmental approach continues to evolve as we discover new ways to reduce our impact on the environment. We're very proud to partner with 3 Phases Energy to support the production of renewable energy while counteracting our dependence on electricity."

According to 3 Phases Energy, the environmental impact of Pizza Fusion's purchase is equivalent to preventing the emission of 132,240 pounds of carbon dioxide or annually removing 13 cars from the road. Pizza Fusion, whose motto is 'Saving the Earth, One Pizza at a Time,' is an organic and all-natural pizza franchise specializing in serving gourmet pizza, focaccia sandwiches, wraps, salads, desserts and drinks, including a wide selection of organic beer and wine.

Pizza Fusion's other environmental efforts include delivering their food in company owned hybrid vehicles that average 50 miles to the gallon, using only eco-friendly cleaners to sanitize their stores, providing eco-apparel, such as organic cotton uniforms, to their employees, recycling their wastes, giving their customers discounts for bringing back their pizza box to recycle it, printing their collateral with soy-based inks on 100% post consumer paper, designing and constructing their stores with renewable, reusable, and recycled products and more. Even their website is hosted by a 'Green Web Hosting' service provider that uses renewable energy to offset the power usage of their servers.
