Gaia Online, the fastest growing hangout for teens on the web, and QOOP, a leader in converting digital content into physical products, today announced an agreement to allow Gaia members to create, customize and purchase Gaia-themed merchandise. Members can custom design products that include images of their online avatars and Gaia artwork. Members can create apparel, key chains, mouse pads, luggage tags, postcards, greeting cards, stickers, CDs and DVDs.

"Many virtual worlds are online only experiences, but Gaia's members are passionate and want to express their online identities in the real world too," said Craig Sherman, CEO, Gaia Online. "Gaia's partnership with QOOP enables Gaia members to bring the creative expression they experience in Gaia back into real world by customizing their clothing and accessories with graphics from their Gaia avatars."

Gaia Online is a social environment where teens come to hangout, have fun and express their individuality through customizable avatars, cars and homes; casual games; arenas for creative writing and artwork; discussion forums on thousands of topics; and virtual spaces such as movie theaters, drag races and towns. The Gaia community boasts more than two million unique users per month, with members spending an average of more than two hours on the site per day. Gaia's forums have exceeded a billion postings with a million new posts being added each day, and the Gaia economy sees more than 190 million in Gaia Gold transactions per day.

"QOOP's mission is to liberate the digital images that people love from the online world, and give their photos, artwork, designs and blogs a physical presence in the real-world. Gaia members are exactly the sort of creative people that make the most of QOOP's services, so we're thrilled to be teaming with Gaia to help its members bring their online creations into the real-world," said William Murray, CEO, QOOP, Inc.

The customizable Gaia merchandise is available starting next week from the GStore at gaiaonline.com.
