Encore opens doors, receives Calyx endorsement, looks to change the way agents, brokers, and lenders work

Encore Relations, LLC announced a suite of new services this week that have the potential to transform real estate practices nationwide. Leveraged and endorsed by Calyx - the largest software provider for loan origination services in the United States - Encore's marketing services offer agents, lenders, brokers and mortgage bankers a multifaceted, outsourced solution for customer retention and development.

"With the opening of its doors on Monday, Encore opened a new era of seamless communication and superior service for our customers," Calyx Senior Vice President of Business Development Dennis Boggs said. "We are proud to be affiliated with the next generation in integrated real estate and mortgage customer service and marketing."

Nationwide, only 11 percent of homeowners reuse agents for home purchases. In fact, surveys indicate that most home buyers forget the name of their real estate agent within six months of the purchase of their home. But beginning this week, agents, lenders, brokers and bankers across the nation have the power to reverse that trend and employ the marketing and customer retention campaigns they have always wanted without adding hundreds of hours of overtime or additional employees.

Encore offers a unique, turnkey solution to keep agents and brokers top-of-mind with past or potential home buyers. Designed as a five-year program, the plan includes 15-20 annual touch points including housewarming gifts, postcards, holiday cards, and letters, delivered to specified customers on the agents' behalf.

And with the endorsement of Calyx, Encore - a company with eight employees whose birthday was Monday - is poised to lead the charge into this next generation of real estate marketing with a sizable market share.

"Encore fills a significant gap in real estate marketing that has existed for many years," said Encore founder and CEO Chris Medina, himself a former real estate agent and regional vice president for a mortgage bank. "Most agents are too busy to plan and deliver comprehensive marketing programs that reach all their referrals and repeat business. With Encore, they won't have to. We'll do it for them."

Encore is piloted by Medina and his seven years of experience in the mortgage industry, spanning the disciplines of sales, operations, underwriting, process management and general management. Whereas most real estate marketing systems offer templates, advice or ideas, Encore offers a self-contained continuity program with a complete, turnkey system that requires no additional purchases, time or even postage.

Calyx Point holds the largest market share for lending and loan origination software in the country. Already integrated into the Point software, a menu option allows lenders to send purchaser contact information directly to Encore as soon as a home loan receives funding. Calyx is a privately-held San Jose-based company. According to the Wholesale Access Mortgage Broker Study 2004, 67.9 percent of mortgage brokers use Point--a figure greater than all other mortgage automation applications combined.
