NetZoom’s web services are perfect solutions for network professionals on-the-go
Lisle, Illinois (PRWEB) August 1, 2007
Altima Technologies today announced the launch of NetZoom™ Web Services (http://www.NetZoom.net) as part of the Microsoft Office Research reference and services library. These web services provide IT and A/V network professionals instant web access to over 80,000 of the latest manufacturer-specific equipment shapes, Microsoft Office Visio 2007 stencils and product information from manufacturers like Cisco, Dell, APC, Chatsworth, Sony and Marantz. These web services are available as part of NetZoom 6, a leading add-on solution for professional network, rack and data center design.
“NetZoom’s web services are perfect solutions for network professionals on-the-go,” says Sara Clark, President of Altima Technologies. “Wherever network professionals have Microsoft Office and an Internet connection, they now have NetZoom.”
“NetZoom 6 is going to change the way IT Professionals build network diagrams,” said Chris Castillo, application developer at Microsoft Corp. “Using the Office Research task pane, you can easily connect to Altima’s web service to find the equipment shapes you need. It’s also a handy reference to look up technical specs.”
The interface makes it easy to find the right equipment shapes. Users can search for shapes and stencils by manufacturer name, equipment type, product line information and other common keywords. Once users find the shape or stencil they are looking for, they can add it to their current document, open a stencil in Visio and view equipment properties.
These new web services were designed so that professionals always have the equipment shapes they need, wherever they are. The equipment shapes and Visio 2007 stencils in NetZoom Web Services are always up-to-date, letting professionals access the latest shapes within Microsoft Office or away from the office. Along with our Free Shape Requests service for NetZoom subscribers, NetZoom provides professionals with a complete hub for network equipment shapes and Visio stencils.
