Search Engine Land Ties for #3 Among Advertising Age's Ranking of Top Media and Marketing Blogs

Search marketers love rankings -- especially when it's a measure of their own rapid success.

And the rapid success of Search Engine Land was clearly documented in the Power 150 blog rankings recently released by Advertising Age. Search Engine Land was launched by search marketing authority Danny Sullivan and the team at Third Door Media in December 2006.

Search Engine Land debuted in a tie for #3 on the Ad Age Power 150, which ranks more than 360 marketing and media blogs. Developed by marketing executive and blogger Todd Andrlik, the Power 150 recently partnered with Ad Age and made its debut at on August 6.

The Power 150 evaluates blogs based on four criteria: Google, Bloglines, Technorati and a subjective ranking developed by Andrlik. Search Engine Land's raw score of 68 (out of possible total 75) placed it in 3-way tie for third.

"Achieving this lofty ranking validates our strategy of focusing resources on editorial," said Chris Elwell, President of Third Door Media, which publishes Search Engine Land. "Danny and the Search Engine Land team of staff writers, contributors and columnists at have consistently published the highest quality and most content about interactive and search marketing since Search Engine Land launched," he added.

In the last 30 days, Search Engine Land attracted more than 250,000 unique visitors and generated more 510,000 page views. Search Engine Land sponsors include, Ingenio, Google, Yahoo!, and Suberb Hosting.
