Total Parts Plus, a leading provider of obsolescence and environmental compliance management services, announces the expansion of the Parts Plus passives database.
Total Parts Plus added over 500,000 connectors to the passives database, and expanded its structure to include all connectors, switches, fuses and even hardware. Users will be able to submit any board-level electronic component for research and loading through Total Parts Plus' 48 Hour Service, and monitor these parts in the Parts Plus web application. Once these parts are loaded into the database, customers will be able to view dynamic attributes specific to the part type. Customers will also be able to view any material content information related to these parts as well.
"When Total Parts Plus first started, the majority of customers were interested primarily in monitoring the lifecycle of semiconductor components," states John Hsu, Vice President of Engineering at Total Parts Plus. "But over the years, there has a growing need for companies to catalog all of their components. Since users are now able to monitor any type of board-level component in Parts Plus, they can manage an entire BOM (Bill of Materials) in one tool."
