Sole Envie founder and shoe designer Monika Desai will be the featured designer at the Boston Shoe Club and 75 Chestnut's "Stilettos and Martinis" event at The Hampshire House in Beacon Hill this Wednesday, September 12 from 7 to 10:30 p.m.
A member of the Boston Shoe Club, which was recently featured on NBC's "Today" show, Desai will debut 12 captivating shoe designs from Sole Envie's ready to wear and "design your own" shoe collections to an audience of 300 Boston shoe lovers. The shoes, ranging from flirty and sophisticated to dramatic and unique, feature accents such as beaded tassels swaying from the heels, playful animal prints teamed with delicate rhinestone buttons and appliquéd flowers with swavorski crystal adornments.
Sole Envie, launching in 2008, is an online "Design Your Own" shoe boutique where women can express their personal sense of style by designing their own shoes. "Envie" means desire in French, thus the name. Sole Envie's goal is to make fashionable, high-quality, custom couture shoes accessible to women while providing them with a creative shopping experience that enables them to design their own one-of-a-kind shoes through an online store, shoe parties and ultimately retail stores.
