DVDNow to Expand Presence in North Carolina

Share Article

Self-Service DVD vending company, DVDNow Kiosks, is preparing to expand the number of DVD rental kiosks installed in North Carolina by a minimum 60 kiosks.

Unlike Redbox or DVDPlay, DVDNow partners with local entrepreneurs who own and operate the equipment. According to Scott McInnes, CEO of DVDNow Kiosks, using local owner operators is a very effective way of growing a large network of DVD rental kiosks. "We couldn't have grown this big, this quickly without local partners. Rather than have an employee manage a kiosk an individual with a vested interest in the success of their business runs each DVD rental kiosk. They're able to choose the movies that are suitable to their local market and work with the location owners on very effective promotions. The end result is an improved consumer experience and ultimately more movie rentals."

DVDNow is holding two business ownership workshops, November 9th and 10th in Charlotte, NC, and November 16th and 17th in Raleigh, NC to speak with local established and aspiring entrepreneurs. They will be providing a hands-on demonstration of their DVD rental kiosk and speaking with individuals interested in learning more about DVDNow, the DVD rental kiosk industry and that expansion opportunities available in North Carolina.
