You can obviously add other data security features such as contactless chips. However, the card’s resilience is where our technology comes into play, and this makes our card very attractive to those issuers who have not yet selected the latest chip technology but nonetheless want a highly secure product.

Paris, Cartes, November 12, 2007 -- iDcentrix unveils its unique ID card technology today –- the market’s only banknote paper polycarbonate based credential that can't be counterfeited.
“Cartes is the perfect venue to showcase this breakthrough product that offers the industry the best of high-end banknote security,” says iDcentrix president and CEO Francine Dubois. “We offer the only card that can be immediately authenticated by checking the embedded watermark that becomes visible against a light source.”
Personalization takes place on the security paper of the patented ID card before the card is actually assembled, unlike traditional card bodies where personalization is done on the finished card. All personal data and most security features are therefore IN the card, not ON it, making it tamper-resistant.
“Recent testing performed by some governmental agencies has validated the security of our card,” says Dubois. “You can obviously add other data security features such as contactless chips. However, the card’s resilience is where our technology comes into play, and this makes our card very attractive to those issuers who have not yet selected the latest chip technology but nonetheless want a highly secure product.”
Founded in January 2007, IDcentrix Inc., based in El Segundo, CA, has licensed a patented technology to produce highly secure identification cards that are based on Swiss banknote paper and polycarbonate. Unlike other ID cards on the market, the iDcentrix card cannot be duplicated or counterfeited thereby guaranteeing the integrity of the card data and the identity of the cardholder. The company sells the ID card production equipment and consumables to corporate and government card issuers and also issues cards by partnering with local card manufacturers. With the identification solutions market gaining momentum worldwide, IDcentrix is poised to experience significant growth over the next few years. For more information go to http://www.idcentrix.com
