New Orleans Makeup Artist Has Moved to LA to Reopen her Makeup Studio and is Creating Buzz in Beauty and Fashion Industry

The new girl that everyone has been asking about in Los Angeles is New Orleans Makeup Artist Brandy Gomez-Duplessis. She recently moved out to sunny California and has been spotted looking at retail space in some of LA hot spots.

She's glam, she's sexy, she's stylish and she's been sighted paving the streets of West Hollywood rolling her pink makeup kit with her. She takes her makeup kit with her while looking at retail space in between going to assignments. As she steps out of her bachelor pad apartment on Melrose Avenue wearing her dark dollhouse skinny jeans, tunic top, and her favorite pink stilettos. She's dripping in her Swarovski crystal necklace, earrings, bracelet and rings blinds you as her long black tresses flowing and Versace sunglasses and extra large Moschino handbag makes you turn to ask...who's that girl?

Makeup Artist Brandy Gomez-Duplessis has arrived in Los Angeles like so many before her with dreams of making a name for herself. With no fear but tons of hunger and passion for her craft she steps out on the street with jobs already lined up. Gomez-Duplessis has out grown her city, the old and the new New Orleans, and was a household name amongst many of the residents. After losing her makeup store in New Orleans 2 years ago she has decided to tryout LA. Four months after Hurricane Katrina, Gomez-Duplessis worked at Jose' Eber salon in Houston Poat Oak area. Since then she has been freelancing and traveling looking for a new place to call home and to open her business. Her makeup brushes have touched many faces from the famous Mayor Ray Nagin, Access Hollywood Maria Meuounos, Football Players Brett Favre and Reggie Bush, R&B Singer Usher, Essence, People, Teen People and Paper City magazine and made appearances on Style Network "How Do I Look", TLC, The Tyra Banks Show and toured with L'Oreal Cosmetics just to name a few from her long resume.

BGD as she is known in New Orleans, has been sighted by many, fitting in her new LA lifestyle. Her contacts have allowed her to continue to work with shows like Access Hollywood, TLC & the Style Network. She's getting booked by LA photographers Yana Engel, Simeon Den, models, actor Alex Angarita from the TV show Survivor, fashion designer Robin Bement with ARMY PINK and LA Chef G. Garvin. She has a look that makes you want to get to know more about this soon to be star. Her 10 years of hard work painting glam faces is starting to pay off.

Her goal is to become a celebrity just like the faces she paints every day, so soon to grace many magazines of her work. BGD over the top east meets south personality makes for great TV. "Some makeup artists love being behind the scene, but I'm not the typical. I love playing dress up and being in drag every day, big hair, makeup, glass like color gloss, lots of bling, stilettos and carrying an over the top handbag. The bigger the better and I love partying just as hard. Once I find my new place my dream is to work all day painting people glam and fabulous. LA is so me, I hope to do very well because everybody love to be gorgeous here in LA," says BGD.
