Preston Spa Business Solutions' (PSBS) new President Dr. Keith West-Harrison today launched the company's cause marketing campaign for CARE®. The new corporate sponsorship was created to help raise awareness in the day spa and wellness industries about CARE's work to empower women around the globe in the fight against poverty.
West-Harrison's quest to support CARE began in December 2006 when on one of his consulting trips he noticed the CARE public service announcement (PSA) in the Las Vegas airport. That same trip he saw CARE's "I Am Powerful" PSA on television.
"It was at that moment that I realized I wanted to help this amazing organization and to make spa owners and therapists aware of ways they could help," said West-Harrison. "Women in developing countries have the potential to create a better world. We just have not given them the tools to they need to make change."
West-Harrison's work is inspired by CARE's efforts to fight poverty in 66 countries around the world and the fact that:
- Women constitute 70 percent of the poorest people in the world today.
- Women produce half of the world's food, but only own one percent of its farmland.
- Of 900 million illiterate adults in the developing world, two-thirds are women.
As part of this partnership, PSBS has produced a music CD entitled "I Am Powerful: Music to Empower Women" to raise money and awareness for CARE's mission. The production costs were completely paid for by the Preston companies (Preston Spa Business Solutions, the sister product company Preston Inc. and Yüm Skin Care), enabling all sales proceeds to go directly to supporting CARE's work in more than 60 countries around the globe.
With a world groove theme, the CD is a musical journey that is sold on the company's coaching website http://www.spacoachingnetwork.com in either a single retail purchase for $15 or a wholesale ten-pack for $100. "It is great music to relax to or to play during a party or dinner gathering," says West-Harrison.

Other collaborations are in the works between CARE and the Preston companies including exclusive VIP parties to be held at day spas in major US cities. These invitation only events will feature special celebrity guests and West-Harrison has offered to do his $750 celebrity facial extravaganza treatments at each spa with all the proceeds donated to CARE.
