Swisslog recognizes those hospitals in America, who made the prestigious "Honor Roll" in U.S.News & World Report's recent July 25th issue.
Swisslog congratulates these institutions, who are among "the best of the best". We recognize these extraordinary hospitals and their commitment to the communities they serve.
According to U.S.News, only 18 hospitals were selected for the elite "Honor Roll"- less than 1 percent of the hospitals surveyed. Hospitals earned Honor Roll status by listing at or near the top in at least six specialties - "a demonstration of broad expertise," according to the magazine. Just 173 hospitals scored high enough to rank in a single specialty. The scores reflect a hospital's reputation based on surveys of physicians, mortality rates, registered nurse-to-bed ratios, patient/community services, available technologies and other care-related factors.
Swisslog systems are in almost every facility on the US News 2007 Honor Roll. In fact, seventeen of the eighteen facilities use Swisslog for their material transport needs. Swisslog manufactures the TransLogic pneumatic tube system, PillPick pharmacy automation and TransCar automated guided vehicles. Today, almost all new hospitals operate with integrated automatic material transport systems. Swisslog systems expedite the transport of supplies, medicines, and test samples while ensuring patient safety. This allows hospitals to focus on what makes them "the best of the best".
