Impact Unlimited, a leading provider of brand communications for events, exhibits, and meetings worldwide, has announced the completion of the first phase of a 70,000-square-foot expansion bringing its headquarters facility in Dayton, N.J. to over 200,000 square feet. Today's announcement marks a milestone in a project designed to enhance Impact's already award winning client service capabilities.
Impact added approximately 57,000 square feet of space in completing Phase One, enabling the company to consolidate its entire local inventory in-house and under one roof. The expansion allows Impact to maintain control of all warehousing, fabrication, and logistical operations on-site, further enhancing its ability to provide the most efficient service to customers in a time sensitive manner.
"This expansion enables us to increase our capacity at our headquarters building," said Ken Payne, President of Impact Unlimited. "We are now able to increase our customer service capabilities by having everything onsite, ultimately creating new efficiencies and increasing customer satisfaction."
The expansion also provided Impact with an opportunity to implement some eco-friendly enhancements to their business. By moving all warehousing on site, Impact will significantly reduce vehicle emissions by eliminating the need for trucks to transport exhibits back and forth between off site storage facilities. Impact also installed a reflective white TPO membrane energy efficient roof, and energy efficient lighting which uses about 60 percent less energy than a typical system. In addition, Impact installed a drainage system to manage all the water run-off from the building, which will ensure that virtually 100 percent of all rain water is restored back to the environment. Further, sections of the new parking lot utilizes a unique grass block system that supports Impact's expanded parking needs and allows grass to grow, reducing run off, and increasing water return.
"Going green was an easy decision," said Mr. Payne. "We hope that our effort to incorporate green design into our everyday workspace will in turn inspire our clients to do the same when it comes to their exhibit space."
The second phase of the project, which is slated to begin this spring will add approximately 13,000 square feet to the front office space to create a highly flexible, collaborative work environment designed to foster teamwork, creativity, and exceptional client service. The renovation plans also call for creation of a technology showroom, where Impact's clients and visitors will have an opportunity to see and interact with the latest technologies and brand communication solutions. In the meantime, Impact Unlimited continues to be full service provider for brand communications handling all client needs in-house from the beginning design concept through to the trade show floor.
