The Future of VMS in a Post Chimes World.
Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) March 8, 2008
At the 17th annual Staffing Industry Executive Forum, Chris Hartman, president of Allegis Group Services, participated in a panel discussion "The Future of VMS in a Post Chimes World." Hartman shared his perspective on both the short term impacts of the Chimes collapse on staffing firms and clients, as well as the long term outlook for the development of VMS/MSP services. The annual Executive Forum serves as an annual networking and peer discussion forum for executives from staffing, vendor management and human capital management service providers.
Allegis Group Services is an industry-leading workforce management solutions provider and human capital management consultancy and is respected in the industry for having more VMS system and program transition experience than any other company in the industry. Chris Hartman, president of Allegis Group Services, shared his expertise about the industry and the impact the Chimes bankruptcy has had on the industry at the SIA Executive Forum.
Hartman said "The Chimes bankruptcy has been very difficult on the suppliers, clients and contract employees. While the timing and speed of the Chimes bankruptcy was unexpected in the industry, Allegis Group Services was impacted minimally in the engagements where we were managing the Chimes technology because of the planning we had done for this type of possibility and we had maintained direct payment to our suppliers. To protect our clients, we had developed contingency plans and contractual language well in advance that allowed us to mitigate their exposure. We utilized our disaster recovery and technology transition plans to migrate our clients with minimal to no disruption to their business. This situation has heightened the need for companies to seek a financially stable partner that can prove long term stability and the ability to proactively mitigate risk."
Allegis Group Services has large scale experience migrating from the Chimes system to another VMS provider, enabling them to transition data and workers faster with existing knowledge, programs and scripts that have been tested. Allegis Group Services has also managed large system transitions that have included moving current and historical data from the Chimes systems onto new technology platforms.
Since the ECG bankruptcy announcement on January 8th, Allegis Group Services has offered impacted organizations assistance with technology selection services and rapid deployment and transition services. Allegis Group Services has provided workforce management solutions and human capital consulting services since 2001 to a portfolio of reputable Fortune 1000 companies.
