Influxis, a leading Adobe Flash Media Server 3 hosting partner, has released the latest version of its newest Flash application, TV Station v1.5.
TV Station 1.5 allows users to broadcast a personalized 24/7 internet TV station using the latest features of Flash Media Server 3 including superior security with RTMPE (real-time messaging protocol encryption) and HD quality video.
The new version of the TV Station application includes a new easy-to-use interface with tabs along the top highlighting the functions of the application. Users can schedule video, audio, or image files to broadcast at specific times as set by the user and a recurrence system. Other functions include live video broadcasting, chat, video on demand, and a new comprehensive reporting system.
With the latest release of the Adobe Flash Media Server 3, the application can be used to schedule and stream not only media such as Flash video (FLV) files, MP3's, and image files, but also all h.264 encoded media including MPEG's, in a television-like programmed broadcast. The end users experience a simultaneous streaming broadcast which features real-time chat and a show schedule which now features thumbnails and on-demand functionality. Each file can also be set to make a specific link available when the end user rolls over the video player, and the background of the player can be set to any image.
Clients use the TV Station application for broadcasting 24/7 music videos, radio stations, church sermons, live lectures, in-depth product presentation, and much more. Other uses include modifying the player to become a streaming advertising banner as explained on the Influxis Labs blog. Influxis includes source files with all applications, allowing for custom branding such as color scheme and logo, and other modifications. In addition, all applications can be easily embedded into a current website with no need to change web hosts.
Last year, Influxis announced the partnership with Adobe to host the new Flash Media Interactive Server 3 (FMIS 3). Kevin Towes, Product Manager for the FMIS 3 product, briefly presented Influxis applications at the NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) show in Las Vegas, NV as an example of the communication and interactive capabilities that FMIS has other than simply streaming video.
"We are continually developing new applications and upgrades to address the latest trends in the live communications technology industry," said Influxis CEO Richard Blakely. "Influxis applications are used by a variety of customers of all experience levels. We provide turnkey and affordable solutions, and our development team is passionate about producing useful applications."
Influxis, built by Flash developers, has a growing library of plug-and-play Flash applications which highlight the interactive aspect of the Flash Media Interactive Server 3. These free and customizable applications are offered with all Influxis hosting accounts. With Flash Media Interactive Server 3 hosting and pre-built applications combined in one service, clients can sign up online for hosting and get started immediately.
