Skywire Software’s Odyssey 2008 a Success for Customers and Company

Company wraps up inaugural user conference, thanks customers for loyalty and support

Skywire Software, a leading global provider of software and services to key vertical industries, concluded its inaugural customer conference, Odyssey 2008, thanking customers for their participation, idea sharing and ongoing support. The three-and-a-half day event underscored Skywire Software’s focus on customers, giving attendees the opportunity to share success stories and best practices through networking and training, as well as offer input on the company’s products and services.

The gathering drew customers from around the globe, including North America, the United Kingdom and South Africa. More than 400 people attended the conference, which opened with a presentation from Skywire Software’s President and CEO, Patrick Brandt, and other senior executives. Brandt shared the company’s vision of its future direction, including its commitment to continuous innovation to meet the evolving business needs of its customers.

In keeping with the focus on innovation and future direction, the theme of Odyssey 2008 was “Past, Present and Future,” highlighting the company’s course since the strategic acquisitions of Docucorp International, Whitehill Technologies and Integrated Insurance Technologies (IIT) in 2007. Odyssey 2008 combined the best elements of Docucorp’s annual Docugroup meeting, the Whitehill Connections user group, and IIT GA User Group meeting, along with Skywire Software’s own unique brand of customer-centric innovation.

The company’s focus was echoed in an inspiring presentation led by Rand Stagen, senior partner of the Stagen Leadership Institute, who challenged attendees to strive for the next-level of performance and to think differently through innovation.

The conference included more than 70 breakout and panel presentations, ranging from the analysis of insurance trends and priorities by industry advisory firm Celent, to the latest technologies empowering business users in the document automation process. More than a dozen customers shared case studies and best practices with the audience. Several customer advisory board sessions provided clients the opportunity to provide input on the future direction of Skywire Software’s products.

Training sessions also provided the opportunity for customers to learn how to better leverage the latest features in Skywire Software’s products. Roundtable sessions enabled them to exchange ideas and best practices with other customers and the company’s employees, including product managers, technical experts, and executives.

Sponsors and partners presented on a wide range of topics, from migrating legacy document systems to the imperative for insurers to move towards a single, Web-based rating engine.
