Stowe's Green Mountain Inn is responding to rising gas prices by offering a free ride home after staying at the luxury Vermont resort.

As gas prices continue to rise, savvy travelers are finding more creative approaches to planning their vacation. That's why some lodging establishments, such as the Green Mountain Inn in Vermont, are trying to lighten the financial burden by offering Stowe vacation packages that include a free ride home.

The Green Mountain Inn's Free Ride Home Package includes two nights lodging, daily continental breakfast and a $50 gas card. Package prices for the luxury Vermont resort range from $98.50 per person, per night for standard rooms to $138 per person, per night for the inn's beautiful luxury suites, which include an in-room fireside Jacuzzi tub. These Stowe vacation packages also include tax and services in the advertised price.

"With gas prices continuing to rise, we want to offer the best possible value to our guests so they can enjoy their vacation without the worry," said innkeeper Patti Clark.
