Success reverberates for second year in a row; SearchAdNetwork honored as sole winner since conception of Search Marketing Excellence ECHO Award

Last night, SearchAdNetwork was presented with a 2008 DMA ECHO Award for Excellence in Search Marketing. This marks the second year in a row that SearchAdNetwork has received this honor, making the search engine marketing agency the only recipient thus far. In 2007, to account for growing interest in search and increasing campaign creativity, the DMA established a Special Award focusing on search engine marketing. The new-found tradition of recognizing search continues into 2008 as does the tradition of honoring SearchAdNetwork's successful and innovative campaigns.

"The fact that this award was presented two years in a row is an indication of search's growth," says Andrew Beckman, president of SearchAdNetwork. The winning campaign was developed for National Jean Company, a designer apparel website that stocks Seven Jeans, Splendid Sweats and other high-style items. Anne Matkowski, account manager in charge of the winning search engine marketing campaign, was the perfect person to manage it; an experienced search marketer with an intrinsic fashion sense, she created a unique campaign that utilized a combination of advanced pay per click management, demo- and geo-targeting, acute media awareness, continuous SEO updates, creative ad copy and other forward-thinking tactics.

"I researched a lot and paid close attention to the media. Knowing the brands and how they fit into the fashion world helped me create a campaign that resonated with their style-savvy audience," says Anne.

The ECHO Awards are presented each year to recognize the most successful and creative direct marketing campaigns worldwide. This is only the second year that the Special Award for search has been given. SearchAdNetwork received this year's ECHO Award at a prestigious ceremony hosted by Jay Leno and held Tuesday, October 14th during the DMA08 Conference. The National Jean Company campaign also earned SearchAdNetwork a first-ever SES Award for Most Innovative Paid Search Campaign.
