InventHelp®, America's largest inventor service company, announces that one of its clients, an inventor from Bluffdale, Utah, has designed a double-hook disconnect tool, which would enable line workers to remove or replace two cutout gates at the same time. This invention is patented.

The "Universal Disconnect Hook" could enable linemen to re-fuse multiple overhead junction cutouts simultaneously. The invention would reduce the time and effort needed to change cutout fuse tubes. The unit would decrease the amount of stress placed on the worker's body. The device would feature a durable construction and be easy to use.

The Universal Disconnect Hook would measure approximately 5-3/4 inches long, 2-1/2 inches wide and 4-1/2 inches high. The invention would be producible from various metals. The tool would feature two hooks extending outward from opposite sides of the main body, with one hook slightly offset from the other. The bottom of the tool would include a fitting that would facilitate the attachment to any standard hot stick with a butterfly screw mounting. Once fitted to a hot stick, the tool may be extended to retrieve two cutout gates simultaneously. After changing the fuses, a user would replace the gates in a similar fashion.

InventHelp® is attempting to submit the invention to companies for review. If substantial interest is expressed, the company will attempt to negotiate for a sale or royalties for the inventor.
