Leading Southern California Service Bureau to Adopt Parent Company Name

American Precision Prototyping, LLC. (APP), an industry-leading service bureau that provides fast, high-quality Rapid Prototype and Rapid Manufactured parts announced today effective January 2009, Spectrum3D, their Anaheim, California facility, will be operating under the APP name while continuing to operate at their current location in Southern California.

APP purchased Spectrum3D in September 2006 and because of their already well established reputation and customer base in Southern California, APP opted to keep the Spectrum3D name and brand. Since the buyout in 2006, APP has been vigorously expanding Spectrum's customer base in California and abroad while getting to know the existing Spectrum3D customers personally.

Through these efforts, existing Spectrum customers have retained their faith in Spectrum quality and goodwill under APP and new customers have come to trust the unsurpassed customer service, high-quality parts and attention to detail that is the hallmark of APP. This has made Spectrum3D a more recognized and trusted name in the industry.

After two years of operating as Spectrum3D under APP leadership, President Jason Dickman felt the time was right to discontinue the Spectrum3D brand. "We want to make the transition now from Spectrum3D to APP while the Spectrum brand is strong", stated Dickman. "Spectrum customers have come to trust the APP name and know the goodwill of Spectrum3D will continue under the APP flag", continued Dickman.

Bringing Spectrum3D under the APP brand will give their customers access to instant online quoting, more competitive pricing and additional services offered by APP that were not previously offered by Spectrum3D such as Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM™), Rapid Metal Castings and Injection Molding. This will give Spectrum customers a single point of contact for all services available in the additive manufacturing and low volume production areas.

"We hope Spectrum3D customers will be as excited about the additional benefits available to them as we are to offer them. We are fortunate to have such loyal customers. They have helped make us what we are today and we welcome any feedback from them about the changes we make," stated Chris Wentworth, General Manager of Spectrum3D.
