Mayville started the site with her son, Jason, and quickly found a niche for people who wanted to outfit their homes with sturdy and stylish chairs. "Barstools don't necessarily have to be for bars, per se," she said. "They make great additions to a recreation room, kitchen counters or a patio."

Though the site is only a few months old, the Mayvilles have plans to add more items such as bars and tables. At the moment, the site's main concentration on affordable barstools and chairs is highlighted towards one consumer-friendly act that not many websites are able to do.

"We have lower prices, our products are made in the U.S. and we offer free shipping," Mayville said. "We're really trying to make sure that people can decorate their home the way that they want to without breaking the bank."
