Dr. Catrise L. Austin, celebrity "Dentist to the Stars", will host a star studded 10th Anniversary celebration of VIP Smiles, New York City's top cosmetic dental practices, at the World Famous Apollo Theater. This momentous occasion will take place Wednesday, December 17, 2008 from 6PM - 11PM. The event marks a milestone in an illustrious career for the young trailblazing dental expert, spokesperson, speaker, and author.
Always fiercely independent and goal oriented, Dr. Austin a Flint Michigan native founded VIP Smiles in 1998 just 2 years after graduating from the famed University of Maryland Dental School-the first dental school in the world. Dr. Austin's vision has always been to empower people to improve their dental health and to have a beautiful, confident smile. "Improving my smile when I was 15 changed my life!" says Austin. "I no longer had to hide behind my smile which helped me feel like a new person."
Her celebrity clientele includes but is not limited to Paula Abdul, Toni Braxton, the late Isaac Hayes, Actors Rexx Lee and Kevin Sorbo, rapper/actor Common, Omarosa, model Eva Pigford, and American Gladiator Mike "Titan" O'Hearn.

When asked why the Apollo Theater for her anniversary celebration, Dr. Austin states, "As the dentist to the stars, I wanted to celebrate in a historic location where stars are made and legends are born. When the history books are written, I hope that my work in the community and in my practice will be considered legendary!"
