Arizona Grand Resort, today announced the opening of the new Arizona Grand Villas, a major part of the resort's $52 million renovation that encompasses everything from guest suites to the golf course. Completion of The Villas this month adds 100 luxury, residential-style accommodations to the existing 640-suite property and is a preview of great things to come for the resort including the opening of a new lobby and signature restaurant later this spring. The Villas will be added to the resort's room inventory beginning February 1, 2009.

Arizona Grand Resort is offering a Villas Opening Romance package just in time for Valentine's Day to celebrate the opening. The Valentine's Day special package includes a stay in one of the new Villas, a bottle of champagne or sparking cider, chocolate covered strawberries, romantic rose petal turndown and a $40 food and beverage credit from just $399 a night*.

The Arizona Grand Villas are situated in the heart of the 164-acre resort. Each spacious unit offers golf, city or mountain views. In addition, all Villas feature flat screen TV's, wireless Internet, private balconies and even dishes, utensils and glassware. The Villas' are adjacent to the spectacular South Mountain Preserve, the largest municipal park in the world and Arizona's second most visited natural attraction, comprising nearly 17,000 acres and approximately 60 miles of desert hiking and horseback riding trails.

The resort's renovation process began in 2007 with exterior and landscaping enhancements, a new property lighting concept as well as guest suite enhancements. In addition to the 100 new luxury Villas, total renovations, scheduled for completion in early 2009, will include all 640 guest suites, restaurants, spa, a redesigned golf course and a brand new resort lobby complete with specialty restaurant and bar.
