Community bank raises funds and collects food to help feed the hungry in Westchester County.

USA Bank is pleased to announce it has contributed funds to benefit the Holy Rosary Food Pantry in Port Chester.

Checks totaling $700 were presented on Wednesday February 4th by Ronald J. Gentile, President & Chief Executive Officer of USA Bank and Christian F. Sanchez, Assistant Vice President of USA Bank to Father Richard Alejunas, Executive Director of the Don Bosco Community Center home of the food pantry.

"We could not be happier to support such a vital local institution," Gentile said. "We are a community bank and we feel it's important to do our part, especially during these difficult times."

The funds were raised during USA Bank's annual holiday charity fund drive, with donations coming from the bank, its employees and vendors. In addition, the bank collected non-perishable food items from customers and delivered several box loads to the food pantry.

"It was gratifying to see such a response from our employees and those who do business with the bank," said Patrick J. Laffin, Executive Vice President of Deposit Operations. "The spirit of giving is alive and well at the bank as well as our extended USA Bank family."

The Holy Rosary Food Pantry assists approximately 5,200 families each year in Port Chester and throughout Westchester County.
