Ready to Make a Difference? Renowned Career Strategist Partners with Rutgers Institute to Help Women Leaders Focus on 'What's Next'

Career Strategist Nella Barkley to guide women leaders to discover the passions that might fuel a second career; Life/Work Design for Women Ready to Make a Difference returns June 1 - 5. Designed to help women shape second careers or meaningful retirement.

Over the next decade, the largest cohort of career women in our history will begin to retire

For more than 25 years, Nella Barkley ( has been helping accomplished clients determine the next steps in their lives and careers. Their goals: satisfaction, happiness, and a sense of making a difference.

And for more than 17 years, the Institute for Women's Leadership at Rutgers University ( has been the preeminent place in the nation for the study and advancement of women's leadership.

From June 1 - 5, the two will come together as Barkley presents LifeWork Design for Women Ready to Make a Differenceâ„¢, a five-day program that will include course materials, lunch and five hours of post program coaching for $1975.

Barkley will lead participants to discover how the richness of their skills can be used to effect social change or contribute to causes they value highly. She will be joined by Sandy Parker, a Crystal-Barkley graduate and originator of this program, whose personal experience making a mid-career change, and in subsequent retirement, illustrates the benefit of this process. Through her and others' examples, participants will learn that it is possible to attain the dual objectives of having a happy life and performing meaningful work.
