Razorfish, one of the largest digital marketing companies in the world, will explore how a recession can inspire innovation at its 9th Annual Client Summit, themed "Art of the Idea" and taking place at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas from April 21-23. The public can follow the commentary beginning April 22 at 9:00 am PST by going to http://search.twitter.com/search?q=%23rzcs.

The line-up boasts keynotes from Matthew Weiner, creator, writer and producer of the hit TV show Mad Men; Dave Stewart, founding member of the Eurythmics; and Porter Gale, VP of Marketing at Virgin America.

"This year, because of the macro-economic environment, we wanted to focus on tangible business results," Razorfish CEO Clark Kokich said. "Innovation, fueled by digital technologies, can help our clients not only maintain viable businesses during the recession but also emerge stronger and more competitive when the market rebounds."

Razorfish executives and clients from around the world will discuss how they used digital marketing, website development, and emerging and social media to transform their businesses. The agenda will include:

  • Intel -how the company changed preconceived notions about its products and engaged a new audience -- creatives in the ad industry -- by using social media and viral video
  • Levi's -how the retailer harnessed digital technologies to transform how numerous departments work together and improve the customer experience online and in-store
  • McDonald's Europe - how entertainment and advertising are converging in the digital world
  • Terra Latin America- how executives set out to redesign the region's largest Internet portal and wound up redesigning the company itself

The Summit will also feature The Razorfish Marketing Lab, which will demonstrate new digital technologies through "slice of life" vignettes of the home living room, retail stores and public transportation. During the event, Razorfish will post updates on http://www.twitter.com/razorfish, while all commentary will be found at http://search.twitter.com/search?q=%23rzcs. Summit videos will be uploaded on http://www.razorfish.com after the event.
