The HR Policy Association and Kelsey National have partnered to offer affordable healthcare to millions of uninsured working Americans through the Association's National Health Access initiative. Uninsured workers include part-time, seasonal, and temporary employees, former employees who have exhausted their COBRA coverage as well as non-employee contractors affiliated with the firm, and spouses or dependents of these individuals. HealthInsurance.com offers these individuals free quotes from the nation's top insurers, allows them to compare benefits and rates side-by-side, and gives them the opportunity to apply online within minutes.

The number of working individuals without health insurance continues to rise. Through our partnership with the HR Policy Association, we can provide individuals with the capability to locate and enroll in a plan that best fits their needs and budget, thus giving the consumer valuable insight into their healthcare options.

The HR Policy Association and Kelsey National have partnered to offer affordable healthcare to millions of uninsured working Americans through the Association's National Health Access initiative.

The HR Policy Association has offered NHA to its members since 2006. Thousands of workers and family members who would not otherwise have found insurance have secured coverage through NHA over the years. The Association recently awarded the contract to administer NHA to Kelsey National through its HealthInsurance.com subsidiary.

"We are impressed with Kelsey's 35 plus years of experience working with employers and Associations to help workers find affordable health care coverage," said Greg Lee, Senior Vice President Human Resources for Motorola, Inc who has lead the effort to develop NHA on behalf of the Association. "We believe that Kelsey's capabilities will help us grow this important effort while the nation continues to discuss policy solutions to address the uninsured in America."

Avery Smith, Director of Business Development at HealthInsurance.com, explains, "The number of working individuals without health insurance continues to rise. Many Americans currently find themselves at a disadvantage since they are ineligible for group healthcare coverage. Uninsured workers include part-time, seasonal, and temporary employees, former employees who have exhausted their COBRA coverage as well as non-employee contractors affiliated with the firm, and spouses or dependents of these individuals.

Latest reports by the National Coalition of Healthcare show that more than 50 million Americans, including 9 million children, are living without health coverage, in part due to the erosion of employer-sponsored coverage in the face of a tough economic climate.

The uninsured are up to 50 percent more likely to be hospitalized for an avoidable health condition and 500,000 Americans who file for bankruptcies each year do so because of the strain of medical expenses.

The National Health Access project, or NHA, provides convenient access to affordable healthcare for uninsured workers and their families through HealthInsurance.com. HealthInsurance.com offers these individuals free quotes from the nation's top insurers, allows them to compare benefits and rates side-by-side, and gives them the opportunity to apply online within minutes.

The NHA product offering is extensive and includes individual health, dental, short-term medical, international and travel, and term life insurance--providing a viable solution for uninsured workers.

HealthInsurance.com has also invested in technology that can help customers find the right plan online and has licensed agents on staff to walk users through the process via toll-free phone support.

NHA is available to all HR Policy Association members, as well as suppliers that work with those companies. Nine Association members are offering NHA to their employees and suppliers who would not otherwise be eligible for employer-sponsored coverage, with many other companies expressing interest.
