One month from now Mr. Tahoe's "Around Tahoe" CD will hit stores, providing a recession friendly vacation, all for under $20. With over 3.5 million visitors annually to Lake Tahoe, Mr. Tahoe, also known as Darin Talbot, a singer/songwriter in the Lake Tahoe area, is bringing a self guided tour that tells the complete story of Lake Tahoe in real time as listeners drive.
"Around Tahoe" is the affordable adventure vacation this summer, perfect for couples and families looking for an inexpensive but unique entertainment and vacation option. The guided tour includes:
- 48 tracks in all, over 2 hours of content
- Instructions and a journey map inside
- 19 audio stories and legends
- 20 songs about Lake Tahoe and the lifestyle
- 8 tracks called "cool spots" that give a local perspective on museums, state parks, dog friendly beaches, where to eat, drink and shop
- Built in GPS coordinates for all the great points of interest
The CD will educate listeners on all the great stories about Mark Twain, Frank Sinatra, John Steinbeck, Snowshoe Thompson, Michael Corleone and the Godfather, the Bonzana TV show, Squaw Valley and the 1960 Olympics, The Donner party, world famous Emerald Bay, and so much more.

Darin Talbot has lived in Lake Tahoe since 1977 and knows everything Lake Tahoe has to offer. He performs full time in Lake Tahoe to over 200,000 people a year. In addition, he hosts a TV show called "Inside Tahoe" that airs inside 160,000 hotel rooms and houses in the Tahoe/Reno area, as well as 1.6 million households in the Bay Area for eight weeks throughout the summer months.
