Berkeley College in New Jersey and New York and Berkeley College Online™ has elected to participate in the new Yellow Ribbon Program for students receiving educational assistance under the Post-9/11 GI Bill (also known as Chapter 33). The program allows as many as 1,550 students at Berkeley College to benefit by having 100% of their tuition and fees covered each academic year.

"Berkeley is already becoming the college of choice among some students who receive veteran benefits. We expect that more enlisted service men and women -- as well as veterans -- will be able to take advantage of what Berkeley has to offer through several new programs," says Berkeley College President Dario A. Cortes, PhD. "Small class size, and faculty with real-world experience -- both in and outside the classroom -- are advantages especially appreciated by these students who are eager to participate in our learning and teaching community, use their strengths, and continue to build their successful careers."

Commenting on the new opportunities that have become available, Berkeley College Provost Glen Zeitzer, PhD., adds, "The inter-cultural experiences and leadership skills of these veteran military students enrich the learning environment for all of us. Berkeley is a great place for veterans to obtain the knowledge and experience they need to pursue their career goals and dreams. They have the personalized support they need to feel comfortable, as well as the services that allow all Berkeley graduates to be successful, through required internships in their chosen fields of interest, and lifetime career services that include a very high graduate placement rate."
