Being able to offer our breading machine along with a sifter and a breading table means we're now providing advanced technology and productivity in one powerful, convenient package

Bettcher Industries, Inc., a leading worldwide manufacturer of equipment for food processing and foodservice operations, announces that it has purchased the assets of Reece Manufacturing Company, Inc., a maker of breading tables and sifters used in fast food establishments and other foodservice operations.
Reece products are well-established in the industry. The company's sifters and tables have been sold to the market for more than 15 years. The company's location in Louisville, KY has given it access to important chain operators, and these relationships have helped the company develop highly effective product designs.
The most extensive demand for sifting and breading tables comes from foodservice operators who prepare and serve fresh-breaded fried chicken menu items. The breading tables with sifters are also ideal for preparing other fresh-breaded products such fish filets, country fried steaks, vegetables, and a variety of other food items.
According to Jim Wallace, Foodservice Group Director at Bettcher Industries, the Reece acquisition is part of Bettcher's strategy to broaden its product line in support of foodservice operators that prepare and serve fresh breaded menu items. "Our Optimax™ automated batter breading machines are extremely popular with customers, but they are also seeking superior performing sifting equipment which we are now able to provide," he said.
"Being able to offer our breading machine along with a sifter and a breading table means we're now providing advanced technology and productivity in one powerful, convenient package," Wallace added.
The breading/sifter table is engineered to blend and sift flour quickly, efficiently and effortlessly. The to-and-fro pulsating action of the sifter ensures an even distribution of spices and other ingredients throughout the breading mixture, as well as providing an efficient separation of the dough balls. Thus, foodservice operators are assured that the final product conforms to their exact specifications, with no variation in the taste or texture of the breading.
The sifter and breading table are designed to perform well and stand up to the rigors of the foodservice kitchen environment, with features such as solid stainless steel construction plus a heavy-duty motor.
Wallace noted that several new sifter products are already in the development stage that will add even more choices and options for customers. "Our intention is to enhance the productivity and ease of use of our equipment, based on the ongoing feedback we receive from users. Their comments and suggestions serve as inspiration to guide us in our efforts to enhance performance, improve the work environment and contribute to better productivity in the kitchen. This continual effort is central to our customer-first philosophy," he emphasized.
Bettcher Industries also announced that manufacture of the sifter and breading table products will move to the company's recently expanded headquarters facility in Northeast Ohio, effective immediately.
