The hotelier signed a five-year license of the APT Suite to enhance its business analytics platform

IHG occupies an impressive leadership role in the hospitality industry, with a history of providing only the best in guest experience

Applied Predictive Technologies, Inc. (APT) announced today that InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), the world's largest hotel company, has signed an agreement to license APT's Test & Learn Management System. The software will be used to enhance customer experience and hotel management within IHG's seven hotel brands, including Holiday Inn, InterContinental, and Crowne Plaza.

IHG chose APT after a three-month pilot, during which the company collaborated with APT to conduct in-market tests evaluating the effects of capital upgrades, promotional offers, and guest satisfaction on revenue per available room (RevPAR) and profit. With their powerful Test & Learn software suite and ongoing consulting support, the APT team demonstrated the strategic advantages and bottom-line value of using Test & Learn to enhance tactical decision-making across IHG's 4,200 hotels.

Over 50 Global 2000 retailers, financial institutions, consumer goods manufacturers, hospitality organizations, and business-to-business companies use APT's Test & Learn Suite to achieve more strategic and informed decision-making.

Tom Seddon, Chief Marketing Officer at IHG said. "On behalf of our hotel owners, we directly generate almost 60% of guest bookings across our 4,200 hotels. Getting the best return on our marketing investment and delivering a great guest experience is key to this. And it's especially important in the current economic climate when all our programmes have to work harder for us. The team's experience and intuition is important, but the Test & Learn system helps us back this up with data, focusing our resources on the initiatives that work and steering clear of the ones that don't."

"IHG occupies an impressive leadership role in the hospitality industry, with a history of providing only the best in guest experience," said Anthony Bruce, CEO of APT. "We are pleased to continue our close collaboration with IHG as the company uses APT's enterprise software platform to help make critical decisions about marketing programs, guest service, hotel management, and capital investments."
