Nexinfo Solutions Inc (http://www.nexinfo.com) and the Biotech Supply Chain Academy (http://www.biosupplyalliance.org/events.html) today announced the induction of NexInfo Solutions into the academy and it's participation at the second Annual Conference at the South San Francisco Conference Center on October 19-20, 2009. The second annual conference - Rx FOR A LEAN & HEALTHY BIOTECH SUPPLY CHAIN, is designed to provide an exclusive audience of senior-level executives of R&D, Risk Management, Human Resource, Finance, Sales, Marketing & Supply Chain Management professionals with authoritative insights, best practices and market intelligence about the supply and distribution of biotechnology products.
According to conference chairman Tim Salaver, " The mission of the Biotech Supply Chain Academy continues to gather momentum in the areas of talent development, risk management and visibility and
efficiency in the supply chain. Bringing Nexinfo's knowledge in Supply Chain Processes and Best Practices to be shared at the conference will significantly help our members in increasing insight into industry standard of leading practices "
"Nexinfo is excited to be part of this academy and participate at the conference. Many companies in the biotech industry are in their infancy when it comes to adoption of structured and sophisticated supply chain processes. Typically, many companies have shied away from standardizing processes because of the complexities in this supply chain. However competitive pressure is now driving companies to streamline their processes which will help improve operating excellence and company growth initiatives while providing timely and efficient customer service" detailed Arun Cavale, President, NexInfo Solutions, Inc. "
Nexinfo will be presenting at two sessions at the Conference.

- identifying cost impacts of changes to supply during iterative simulations
- visibility to safety stock and demand variability
NexInfo will also highlight the differences between supplier collaboration for operational process versus the S&OP process.
The session will conclude by discussing a software solution using a leading off the shelf packaged software and highlight some of it's limitations in the above process and how these limitations can be mitigated
