Based on years of research, and a successful CD product, Fonty®, students only need 15 hours to read any word they meet. The basis of the EasyPhonics program is to give the student a correctly pronounced automatic response to the printed word, to reinforce the correct spelling, and sound, and only then to teach comprehension practice.

EasyPhonics is a product by EasyReader Education Ltd. http://www.easyreader-ed.com that teaches students to become automatic readers in 15 hours of coursework.

Reading difficulty is a problem that extends across socioeconomic strata - affluence is no guarantee of reading success. However, it is a crucial step in children's education because those who fare poorly in the early grades are unlikely to catch up with their more skilled classmates. Estimates indicate that at least 20 million of the nation's 53 million school-age children are poor readers - about two out of five children. (National Institutes of Health) For 90-95% of poor readers, prevention and early intervention programs that combine instruction in phonemic awareness, phonics, spelling, reading fluency, and reading comprehension can increase reading skills to average reading levels. (National Institute of Child Health & Human Development).

An automatic reader can recognize every word without thinking, thus saving all the energy for the content (reading comprehension). The unique structure of EasyPhonics based on sound (a universal common denominator), using the multi-sensory approach - see, hear, speak and build - results in automatic reading in ONLY 15 HOURS! The student hears sounds of letters and repeats the sounds. The student is further reinforced by building the letter from pieces. Using a sequential presentation, the EasyPhonics student progresses from single letters to full sentences.

In addition to the highly acclaimed methodology, EasyReader has added some key features to its online product including a Learning Management System, which caters to the needs of all types of users, ranging from a single user purchasing the product for home users, to private teachers and even to classroom teachers.

In addition, EasyPhonics is designed for easy localizations. All graphic and sound files are kept in directories which are language specific. When localizing the system to a new language, only these specific files must be translated and recorded, reducing the time and effort as well as eliminating downtime when starting support of a new language.

EasyReader aims to become a premier provider of automatic reading, and reading comprehension products. For further information contact Tirtza Gal at info(AT)easyreader-ed.com.
