Boutique sport and media management consultancy - Knowledge MGI is growing its office. Knowledge has announced the appointment of Mark Hargreaves from Manchester United as Chief Operating Officer and Steve Robinson as Chief Technology Officer.
The hirings come at a crucial juncture for Knowledge which has been charged with the launch of a new software company Ve Interactive Ltd. Hargreaves who will also take on the role of Chief Operating Officer at Ve Interactive, joins from Manchester United where he was previously the Head of IT and subsequently General Manager of Man Utd Interactive. There he ran one of the world’s most successful websites for 7 years, (including the sister multi-lingual sites across Asia and the Middle East), working with major brands and support-service companies to deliver content and e-commerce solutions to over 8 million unique visitors every month. Hargreaves’ appointment will foster the enhancement of the operations and development of Ve Interactive.
Steve Robinson will serve as Chief Technology Officer for both companies. He was an international WebSphere consultant and previously has been a consultant for both IBM Lotus Notes and Microsoft.NET technologies. Robinson has been working in IT for over 15 years and has provided solutions for many large-enterprise corporations worldwide including IBM, Lloyds Banking Group, BSkyB, PricewaterhouseCoopers in both the middleware and internet technology space. He recently published a book entitled ‘WebSphere Application Server 7.0 Administration Guide.’ Robinson will build a product development team to accommodate Ve Interactive’s aggressive growth strategies in the UK market.
