New Website Released Especially for College Students to Enhance 'College Experience' Outside of the Classroom

A new website, “Señor College” ( has emerged that only allows access to those individuals with a “.edu” e-mail address, promising a college-only experience. Señor College allows its college users to get up to date and most important, accurate information about their college outside the classroom including information on the local hotspots including bars and parties and they can also post their used items to sell to their fellow classmates, totally free.

Finally a website has launched about real college life for college students only.Señor College is an emerging website that limits access to those with a “.edu” e-mail address, protecting college students from outsiders influencing the data. The data: bar ratings, party listings, and items for sale is free for users to list and comment on and is meant to enhance the college life experience.

An online marketing / development based outside of Chicago, Illinois, created Señor College to provide what other websites have never done: an all access pass for college students about college life outside the classroom. Brian Reiff, CEO of Direct Hit Solutions, says, “I remember back when I was in college, so I wanted to create something for college students that would help and enhance their college experience in a way that no other website currently offers.

Señor College has three main parts: The Bar Scene, The Red Cup and The College Marketplace. The "Bar Scene" contains over 20,000 college bars at 600+ colleges and universities. Users are able to rate and comment on their local hot spots including bars and clubs as well as upload pictures. Bar owners can buy premium membership and add bar details and drink specials to promote their business to local college students.

The “Red Cup” section is a place to list and rate campus parties at over 600 colleges and universities including parties from clubs and organizations like fraternities and sororities or other venue parties. Users can also comment and upload pictures, but the detailed information (date, location) is visible to registered users only.

The “College Marketplace” section is the place that college students can post items for sale that they don’t need anymore and promote them exclusively to their fellow classmates. This section is divided into five categories including books, electronics, furniture, housing and random items. Since the average college student is already worried about their finances, this gives them an opportunity to cash in and sell their unwanted items to fellow classmates.

“I was upset when Facebook expanded their membership to non-college students. It made me feel less safe and that my information was more likely to be exposed. Señor College has no reason to open to the general public, so I know it will truly remain college-only, and I like that,” states Melissa Gerber, active user of Señ

The website seeks to be the one-stop site for all college life outside of the classroom.
