It appears that employers are gearing up for hiring in the near future. While many employers will not be hiring full time, permanent employees before the end of the year. A part of the research is derived from a CareerBuilder.com / USA Today survey of 2900 hiring managers and human resource professionals nationwide.
According to Keim, 1 in 6 employers will increase staffing levels while 1 out of 10 are planning a decrease; but most (nearly 7 out of 10) anticipate no change before the end of the year. According to what Larry Keim (Harlingen, TX) is seeing he feels this is an accurate depiction of the future.
The good news Keim cited from the aforementioned survey is that nearly one-half of employers plan on hiring or re-hiring employees starting in the first quarter of 2010 and continuing into the latter part of the year. Keim says the time to start networking for jobs is now.
